The team here in Android authority It is full of football fans, and we follow the leagues worldwide. Sometimes, there is an overlap, such as Ollie Cragg and I who accumulate on the constant agitation of Chelsea FC, and other times, there is a quiet plump when Real Madrid de Rita gets enough goals in the detention time to steal a victory in the inevitable way that only Madrid can. However, there is one thing in which we can all agree: the transmission landscape is worse than it has been as a football fan.
With so many leagues and so many competitions, it would be impossible to put them all in one place, unless you know, someone invented something like a cable package, but I am deviating. But now that my beloved NWSL (National Women’s Soccer League) has released its television schedule, I am frustrated again. Here is why I don’t look forward to what my favorite season of the year should be.
How many pay video transmission services?

How bad is the current NWSL transmission configuration?

This year marks the second season under the massive agreement of the Four Years of NWSL media with several platforms, including CBS Sports, ESPN and Ion. On the surface, that should be excellent news: every game of the season will be broadcast, well, somewhere. It is a great improvement only a few years ago when I remember having to look for the coverage of more than one game throughout the weekend.
Now, however, I don’t have to do much search at all. The NWSL has established its weekly schedule quite well, and all I have to do is memorize up to five different logs, yes, five. In addition to knowing my session, I will also have to remember what games there are what networks on what days of the weekend. Does it sound easy? Well, this is how the league has decided to organize its schedule for 160 games this season:
- The games on Friday night will be broadcast in the main video at 8:00 pm or 10:00 pm et.
- On Saturday nights they will have a double (or triple) heading on ion between 5:00 pm and 10:00 pm et.
- CBS Sports will be transmitted to the matches throughout the CBS CBS, CBS Sports, Paramount Plus network and the CBS Sports Galazo network (a specific football network)
- ESPN will issue matches in ABC, ESPN and ESPN2 and transmit them in ESPN Plus.
Simple enough? Yes, I thought. Now, the kicking is that there are no 160 games in a NWSL season. There are 364. Then, for the other 200 games, you will have to catch them in the internal transmission service of the League, NWSL Plus.
In addition, this schedule only covers the National Games, so competitions in the League. The selected clubs are online to participate in the finals of the Concacaf W champions and the friendly matches against international clubs during the mandatory rest of the League in July, and I have no idea how those games will be transmitted.
Is any of the matches free to transmit?

I will be sincere: juggling with the beginnings is not why I fear the current NWSL transmission calendar. In general, I only see matches in my Macbook Air OA through my NVIDIA Shield TV, so I only have to log in to two devices at the same time. On the other hand, my concern comes from how I will pay exactly all services between now and November 2025, when the season ends. See, although some of the applications, such as Ion and NWSL Plus, are free to access, the rest is not, and I cannot stretch my free tests so long.
To discover how much tension in my local team, the spirit of Washington, I was about to put in my wallet, I spent my morning looking at the Official TV NWSL schedule and mark the dates, times and networks of each game. I counted five free games on Ion and up to four more free games in NWSL Plus (which shares some of its rights with Paramount Plus), but the remaining 17 games are blocked behind a paid network or application. And, although I will be in some of those games as a starting of seasonal tickets, that is bad news for my bank account.
If I am paying $ 30 per month to transmit all the games, I can also buy more seasonal tickets.
See, if I only pay the dedicated transmission services, so ESPN Plus, Prime Video and Paramount Plus at its cheapest levels, would cost $ 12, $ 9 and $ 8 per month, respectively. That is around $ 30 per month so I could shake a game per network. But when he executes those subscriptions from March to November, nine months of the year, the total Skyrokets at $ 270 per year only to follow his favorite team, which is more money than the current cost of my current lot of seasonal tickets.
Of course, there are ways to knock down your price a little, or at least stretch your dollar a little more, such as paying Amazon Prime ($ 15 per month) instead of only Prime And it could be a supply of Sports and ESPN. The playoff career from the beginning. You could probably also get access to the main networks through YouTube TV, but that does not help with the transmission matches.
I want the NWSL to choose a partner and stay with him.

I cannot believe that I am saying this, but I think Major League Soccer has the best transmission configuration in the US. UU. At this time. Although I usually do not love when the MLS shapes the future of football in this country (hello, promotion and descent), I cannot argue with what it has achieved since it was associated with Apple. He reached a 10 -year agreement to make Apple TV plus the exclusive home of all its national games, putting each team and each outstanding in the same place and eliminating the need to juggle with the session and platforms.
In addition, by giving Apple TV plus control over each game, MLS has improved the quality of its transmissions throughout the League. Now, the 30 teams use the same team from one stadium to another, and the constant commentators group follows the league from the first weekend to the MLS Cup. I would love to see the NWSL do something similar at the end of its four -year contract, if not before.
Until then, I will continue to juggled with latest logs and subscriptions, trying to follow the rhythm of the equipment that really matters to me while I hope that my parents’ cable provider does not realize that I am transmitting from a different state. But really, should it be so difficult to follow a national league? It does not seem to me.
