The Apple concessions list in the European Union continues, since the company has confirmed that users will be able to install applications through third -party application stores on iPad starting tomorrow, September 16.
That is the same day as Ipados 18 launches, which means that it is a great day for Apple tablet alignment.
Announced through a publication in The Apple developer site, as of September 16, “EU users can download iPados applications in the application store already through alternative distribution.”
“As mentioned in May, if the annex of alternative terms for applications in the EU has celebrated, the first annual IPADOS facilities will begin to accumulate and the fee of the lowest App Store Commission will be applied.”
“Apple also says that alternative browser engines can be used in iPados applications,” since it renounces some of its understandings after the arrival of the Digital Markets Law (DMA).
IPAD users could get Fortnite, and much more, in the EU
In many ways, this is the next logical step after the same principles have already been applied to the iOS platform, but it is still remarkable, since this means iOS, iPados and (as always) macOS will now allow the lateral review, at least in Europe.
Apple received six months to ensure that the iPados complied with DMA, and the company confirmed that it would force it in May of this year.
The Epic Games store is available for EU users, that is They can install Fortnite in iOS, but the developer has also expressed interest in bringing it back to the iPad.
