A Texas -based casino, called Kickapoo Lucky Eagle, has announced that they will soon reopen the guests after a shooting that killed two people and wounded five.
The casino will open on Friday, October 3, almost a week after a man opened fire. The man initially fled the scene, according to Ksat, but was arrested hours later in Wilson County. He was then extradited to Maverick County, which is where Eagle Pass is located (where the casino is located).
On Monday, Casino turned to social networks to address the tragic events and announced that the place would remain temporarily closed.
“We are disconsolate by the tragic events that occurred in Kickapoo Lucky Eagle Casino this weekend. Our deepest condolences are with the victims, their families and all those affected.
“Out of respect for the impacted and to allow the authorities to continue their investigation, the casino will remain temporarily closed. We will share updates as they are available.”
Many people in online comments have left their condolences to families and affected people, with more than 600 remaining comments in the initial publication.
