One of the best things about covering Black Friday is that you can usually count on a few things, and an even higher value Hisense TV is usually one of them, and here it is.
This TV has received rave reviews when it was $1000 (for the 55-inch version), but It is now reduced to only $697It’s a no-brainer.
Hisense has been doing a good job of creating high-value TVs, and that was the reason I bought one in the past, but now the flagship models are starting to make a big impact in their own right, even without the low price.
What sets it apart even more is that it has a really powerful panel; In fact, many buyers have talked about how it can get too bright.
This is achieved through ULED technology, a rival to OLED, but which uses thousands of small LEDs (a technology called MiniLED) to illuminate only the relevant parts of the screen to deliver great contrast, powerful colors and a strong overall image to look at.
Is a bigger TV a better TV deal?
Really, the only question is which one you would choose in terms of size: I have a 65-inch screen and I love to see it a little larger for movie nights. However, you’re paying $300 more for the jump from 55 inches, so make sure you have the space (and the budget) before pulling the trigger on this one.
You can opt for built-in 4.1.2 surround sound, with Dolby Atmos support and a built-in subwoofer, or you can pair it with a sound bar. The stand is big enough to have one sitting in front (and buyers have confirmed that it’s good enough for things like the Sonos Beam).
While you may be like me and can’t imagine ever being turned away from OLED displays, this piques my interest a bit, especially with the new lower price.
