
The Columbia Climate School is delighted to announce the launch of a New double grade program With the FU Foundation Foundation of Engineering and Applied Sciences, to begin September 2025. Students registered in this double grade program will receive both a Master in Science in Climate and a Master of Science in Carbon Management By successfully completing your studies.

Carbon management technologies play an important and complementary role in approaching climate change and provide a range of options to support the sustainable energy transition, including the capture, elimination and reuse of carbon, to meet the net emissions of zero. This dual program It will prepare students to create and implement multifaceted solutions to carbon inputs and outputs that align global energy requirements with climatic impacts.

Double degree students will register for a total of 63 credits: 33 credits in two semesters for the More in weather and 30 credits in two semesters for the MS in carbon management“I receive both degrees in less time than if you are pursued separately.”
In the MS In Climate program, students will complete an immersive year of climate courses focused on scientific understanding of the climate, quantitative methods, mitigation ways, adaptation strategies and policies, justice frameworks and social impacts. In the MS program in Carbon Management, students obtain technical depth through basic courses focused on several aspects of carbon capture, use and storage (CCUS) and low -carbon energy conservation systems, as well as the options centered on related engineering, politics and economy. Together, the Dual program enables students to create and implement solutions to the carbon problem as a key way to address the climatic crisis. In addition to the upper level courses and access to the faculty, students will have wide opportunities to apply their knowledge outside the classroom in both programs to help them prepare them for vibrant careers.

Interested candidates must apply separately to Columbia Climate School and Columbia engineering. The admission decisions of each school are taken independently based solely on the selection criteria of that school. Students pay registration and rates and receive financial aid for the school in which they are in residence for a certain year.
Students can start the dual program in any school. The recommended path for international students is to start at climate school, to be eligible for curricular practical training (CPT) F-1 during the summer semester between grades.
