Colorado Springs, Colo. – The space force of the United States is more inclined to its allies worldwide and presents a new international association strategy, said the Head of the Service today.
During an opening speech of today (April 9) in the 40th Annual Space Symposium of the Space Foundation, the Chief of Space Operations of the Space Operations of the US Space Force. UU., Chance B. Saltzman, said that the next strategy document will provide “a starting point for collaboration” and “a road map to integrate the nations of related ideas” to create a safe and cooperative environment in space.
“Space power is the best team sport,” said Saltzman. “The domain is too large, too complex, too dynamic, so that a single nation ensures alone.” Trust, coordination and a shared commitment to build a strong space coalition are key elements of this new strategy, added Saltzman.
Saltzman described the three central objectives of the new strategy of the International Space Force Association, the first of which is “empowering partners as force multipliers”, which means combining individual strengths of different nations. While some nations like the United States have a robust launch infrastructure already instead, other nations may not, but may have capacities or services that the United States does not.

“It doesn’t matter if you can build your own constellations or have billions of dollars to invest, if you have interest in space and the will to contribute, we want to work with you,” said Saltzman.
The following objective of the new international space force strategy is “to improve interoperability and information exchange”, which means finding ways to link the various intelligence and spatial surveillance systems (also known as consciousness of the spatial domain) that the different nations, including the US. “That is the only way we are going to support the close type of collaboration required to maintain the rhythm of change in our domain,” said Saltzman.

An example of this growing international cooperation between the space force and its partners was made public for the first time this week in Space Symposium. On Tuesday (April 8), the General of the Space Force Stephen N. Whiting, commander of the United States Space Command, told the attendees that the United States and France recently carried out their first bilateral operation of appointment and proximity to “demonstrate combined capabilities in space in the neighborhood of a strategic spacecraft.” No more details about the operation were given.
The space force not only seeks internationally to help you maintain safe space; Saltzman also spoke today about the need for the service of greater collaboration with its commercial partners, noting that “the United States government is not a natural innovator” when it comes to developing new technologies and capabilities.
“The industry, especially smaller companies, can move at a speed that the United States government cannot match,” said Saltzman.
