May 20, 2025 (MLN): The Reference KSE-100 index concluded the negotiation session on Tuesday at 118,971.12, showing a decrease of 718.51 points or 0.60%.
The index quoted in a range of 1,373.28 points, which shows an intradic maximum of 119,900.37 (+210.74) and a minimum of 118,527.09 (-1,162.54) points.
The total KSE-100 index volume was 108.11 million shares.
Of the 100 closed index companies, 57 closed, while 3 did not change.
The main losers during the day were KTML (-5.90%), AGL (-3.49%), TPLRF1 (-3.05%), Lotchem (-2.92%) and Mughal (-2.81%).
On the other hand, the upper winners were POML (+9.82%), PABC (+3.37%), BNWM (+2.96%), HMB (+2.88%) and PIOC (+2.49%).
In terms of index point contributions, the companies that dragged the lower index were FFC (-106.78pts), UBL (-88.80pts), HBL (-72.59pts), PPL (-60.40pts) and Engroh (-56.70pts).
Meanwhile, the companies that added points to the index were HMB (+40.05pts), DGKC (+22.56pts), MEBL (+21.75pts), PIOC (+18.25pts) and MLCF (+17.18pts).
The KSE-100 index in terms of the sector, commercial banks (-212.08 points), oil and gas exploration companies (-165.53 points), fertilizers (-95.36 points), Technology and Communication (-78.30 points) and INV. Banks / Inv. Cos. / COS values. (-67.47pts).
While the index was backed by Cement (+37.23pts), leather and tannings (+14.59 points), energy generation and distribution (+13.30 points), refinery (+12.10ptas) and diverse (+11.47pts).
In the widest market, the All-Share index closed at 73,878.89 with a net loss of 309.37 points or 0.42%.
The total market volume was 437.92 million shares compared to 425.37m from the previous session, while the negotiated value was recorded at RS20.81 billion that shows a decrease in RS1.46bn.
There were 279,685 operations reported in 473 companies with 177 closing, 232 closing and 64 remaining without changes.

To take into account, the KSE-100 has won 40,526 points or 51.66% during the fiscal year, while 3,844 points or 3.34% have increased so far this calendar year.
