Google working to carry the repair mode of the next pixel to all Android devices: report

Samsung didn’t introduce a new feature called maintenance mode for its Galaxy devices. The device owner can use this mode and activate before delivering the device to a service technician in a service center. Samsung’s maintenance mode basically creates a new user profile, blocking the main user data once mode is activated. Samsung came up with this function so that users do not need to back up and restore their smartphones by delivering it for the service. This also reduces the need to log in to a new device and configure everything again. According to a Recent reportGoogle is also working in such a way for its Pixel devices. But now it seems that Google is also working to add the function natively to all its smartphones with Android.

Called “repair mode”, the code was seen by Mishaal Rahman WHO states that it will work natively and can be activated and deactivated using the user -established preferred authentication method. According to Rahman, the Google system works very differently compared to Samsung’s maintenance mode.

While Samsung maintenance mode Create a new user profile, Google’s approach of the same basically simulates a factory restart. This is achieved using a mechanism called Dynamic System Currentations (DSU), which was introduced into Android 10. DSU basically makes it possible to initiate without overwriting the existing installation, which preserves the user data.
