Now there are two ways to create memories in photos from iOS 18.1 or posterior: a method is the same way that has done so in previous versions of iOS, and the new takes advantage of Apple’s intelligence if available on your device.
To use the last method, you will need to have an iPhone that is able to admit Apple Intelligence. This means an iPhone 15 Pro, iPhone 15 pro max or any iPhone 16 model.
Make Apple’s intelligence memories
For those on older devices, we will review how to create souvenir movies in photos using the original method first. As with Apple’s intelligence method, much of the work is automated by the photos itself.
The same methodology that uses to create memories in photos in iOS 18 also applies to ipados 18. It all starts choosing an album that has previously created.
Starting
If you have not yet created an related photo album or videos, do it first. If you already have an existing album to which you want to add these images, simply touch the existing album of the list.
To create a completely new album, touch the more sign to create and name a new album. Leverage AlbumsThen touch Create. Tap New albumAnd then give the album a name.
Then you can select photos of your entire photo collection. If you have videos you want to add, you can also select them.

Add images or videos of existing albums to help make your memories movie.
To select several photos or videos at the same time, touch theSelect button to choose as many as you want. Once you have done that, touch the ellipses button and select Add to the album“
The photos and videos can exist in multiple albums, so you are not moving any photo anywhere. Everyone will remain in the main photo library, and any album in which you put them previously.
Once you have an album of all the photos or videos you want to use to create your memory, simply touch and keep the album in the photos. A drop -down menu will appear and can select Play memory video.
An automatically generated film will begin to play, including the music taken from its Apple Music library. We suggest seeing automatic generation to the beginning before deciding if you want to customize it.
Apple’s intelligence form to make memory movies
If you have an iPhone or iPad that you are able to run Apple Intelligence, you can use it to generate the memory film, and publish Apple’s intelligence, Apple sometimes refers to them as memory movies instead of memories.
Apple is inconsistent with this, so the first thing you do is move down to the Memories Photo section, where does it say Create. This card includes an indicated text area to write a description of the video you want to create.
For example, writing “family and friends in New York over the years” or “our trip to Geneva” will automatically generate a memory movie. You can use locations, the names of anyone who has identified in photos, as well as at the time of year, special occasions and more.
Once he has written a description and pressed the return, a graphic that shows Apple’s intelligence will appear assembling the movie using his photos and videos. The keywords he used in his description, along with others in his photos, will also float at the bottom.
As soon as the movie is completed, it will begin to reproduce. The first image will have the movie title, generated by Apple Intelligence from its keywords. While the movie is played, you can play the movie, then touch near the bottom to watch the photos and videos that were chosen.
Customizing your memory movie in photos
To make changes in the automatically generated memory movie, simply touch the screen while reproducing, and then touch the Pause button. Then touch the button at the bottom of the screen to the left: the memory mix button.
This allows you to change the order of execution of the selections in the film and offers several options. You can review each one to decide which one likes the most.
You can also change the music that was chosen at random by photos by pressing the music button on the right side. This allows you to select any track of your existing music library.

Your completed memory films can be seen on the main page of the photos.
The farthest button is for filters. It allows you to apply filters to memory, including the black and white film, a faded color or additional warmth, among other options.
Once you have chosen these options, you can touch the screen to see the memory movie with the changes you have made.
Additional change options
By default, the title of the memory film is automatically generated by the name of the albums or the album of those he has chosen. To change it, as well as to reorganize or manage the photos and videos in the memory, touch the ellipses menu at the top of the memory.
Here, you can edit the title, reconfigure the memory to put the photos in the order you want and more. You can also make plane the movie to another device from this menu or hide it to prevent any other person from seeing it.
You can also add the memory movie to your favorites from that menu. When finished, touch the posterior arrow button on the upper left and then Made.
Memory films are stored in the For you Photo tab, so you can see them at any time.
If you want to edit the movie later, you can play the ellipses menu at the top to change the title and the images used. You can also choose to replace the music chosen to accompany the movie.
Tap Made When you have made your changes, and the movie can be reproduced again to see your changes. The memory movie will be available to see at any time in the photos, unless you choose to delete it.
