Big Marvel of the season of the ‘Ironheart’ season and the scene after the credits

After two weeks in Disney Plus, Ironheart issued its season end during a three -episodes drop on Tuesday night. Although the program did not serve as a vehicle for the introduction of Riri Williams in the Marvel Universe, it has brought new and not so new characters that we recognize from the comics and the Greater MCU, even if some of them were only present in the spirit.

The penultimate episode saw Riri, Ezekiel/Joe and Parker confront his dad problems in his own way, and the latter put a gun on his father’s head and seized his home and company. Although he has Ezekiel under the thumb, he still does not know that Riri is alive. She was busy working with her family and Zelma Stanton to forge a new armor made of parts of her stepfather. Unfortunately for her, in the end, she lost her best friend’s assistant to Natalie when Magic went up to her suit. That is a double heartbreak about the loss of Natalie.

Magic is priced, right? It is something we have seen with Dr. Strange, Agatha Harkness and Scarlet Witch.

Even so, Riri put a plan in motion to face the hood in the previous period at the end. She wants the layer for her own motives. I will break down what happened in the final episode, that being who appeared at the end and what could mean for the MCU. If you have not seen the series or these last three episodes, do not read more. Spoilers ahead.

Parker’s path to the hood and its ruin

Opening this episode with Parker’s path to the demonic agreement helped viewers realize how he ended the hood and marks in his body. In the past, the character similar to Lucifer of Sacha Baron Cohen (“What is your greatest wish?”) Appeared with nefarious intentions, including his insidious act of eating pizza with a fork and a knife. This is not aligned with the way they are in Marvel comics, but we know that Parker basically sells access to his soul in exchange for money and power.

When Riri appears in the pizza place to fight the hood, he has to overcome Joe first, who is magically scheduled as a puppet to protect Parker at all costs. She discovers a cunning way of canceling her technology and closing it. After this and the careless movement that Riri made that put Joe locked up, they are not exactly friends, but they do not get angry in the enemies. “Joe is gone. I have millions of weapons of arms inside me, and I have no idea where to put this anger.” He tells him to drive Parker and let him know that the two have not finished. What does that mean?

Parker/Hood is not too surprised when a totally alive Riri confronts him in his loft, but they throw it for its use of magic. They fight, their demon-just side comes out, and she activates her “emergency protocol” to prevent them from destroying both. It seems that Riri exploded his suit, and the hood, while crawling through scrap pieces. Parker is fine, points a gun to a riri with crying eyes with the intention of shooting him “for John.” But everything is a hologram!

She appears behind him, snatches his cape and leaves him twisting on the ground in agony. “Don’t you see what you are doing to you?” Now, this feels a bit hypocritical because he wants the hood for his own designs, but nevertheless, he leaves Parker praying and comes out.

With great pizza, comes the great Mephisto

After his fight with Parker, Riri carries the elevator down to the pizza of mouth. That cunning demon that pizzing eats with bifurcation and knife is waiting at the table. He takes Riri out of his suit and makes him disappear as he implies that he sits with him. She realizes that he is the source of Parker’s Hood, and he begins her sale argument to help her achieve her dreams. “I have been looking at you. Rooting you. Want to meet you for some time because I love the exceptional, the driven, the stubborn, someone inquisitive and curious.”

Hombing his complex of helpless, he offers to help him and puts him in thickness adding that he has helped the 100 people in the richest list of Forbes. Then he hits her with a combination of telepathy and saying Riri’s own words to “build something iconic.” Your answer? Basically it was, “yes, okay, sleeping.”

A gutural laugh indicates that it is not who he is, and he tells him that Mephisto can call him. Yes, it is the Mephisto so many of you who have been waiting since Wandavision, Multivarse of Madness and Agatha all the time. He is here, and he was insulted that someone thinks that sleeping is driving the cape. How rude to us.

Finally, he asks what he wants, then reads his mind while remembering his memories with Natalie, the Real and the version of AI. He pushes her to accept her help and assures her that “capture” is something “that will not be lost.” The short camera, ending its interaction before seeing your answer.

A new scene shows a table covered with supplies and magical candles, and Riri analyzes the sorcerers and mathematical formulas. A voice calls his name, look up and is Natalie. Riri says: “Was worked?” and wander over their advanced creation of AI. But this is Natalie of flesh and blood, brought from the dead, and are shocked and confused.

In a flashback, Riri really crashed with Mephisto, and that is confirmed when we see that the black lines crawls down his arm while hugging Natalie.

Ironheart Medium Credit Scene

A short time after the list of credits, Parker appears and enters the Stanton store. His head is covered, but there are traces of blackened lines on his face, so his demonic connection is clearly not broken.

It is his first meeting and Zelma, but does not waste time asking for magical help. Doubtful that she is able to more than tricks, he implies that he wants to see “what is in the back.” Zelma looks at him while he says: “I know you don’t know me, at least not yet. But if you’re prepared, how about a bit of abracadabra?” She shrugs, and the short scene.

What does all this mean for the MCU?

Oh, the presence of Mephisto can go in multiple directions, but remember that this series marks the end of phase 5. Phase 6 is still in the multiverse saga, so in regards to realities and deadlines, there is space for resurrections, change of shape, jump of dimension, reality flexion and more drama in the cosmos. The entanglements of Mephisto comics involve it with Spider-Man, the fantastic four, Silver Surfer, Loki, Victor von Doom (also known as Doctor Doom) and a large number of other heroes and villains (yes, Moon Knight and Scarlet Witch, too).

It would not be completely impossible to see Mephisto doing deals with Peter Parker or any other person in Spider-Man: Brand New Day, and is definitely not surprised if Marvel drops it in Avengers: Doomsday. The comic stories of this demon with the Avengers, Doc Doom, and even the Maximoff Twins could be reworking for the big screen, as well as the next television programs such as Wonder Man or Vision Quest. Nothing is confirmed, but it is time to make their fans theories exploit.
