It is possible that it has been lost, but the selected Apple Watch models are winning a new doll film gesture in Watchos 26 that allows users to discard notifications and return to their watch face with a simple wrist movement.
The gesture works by turning the doll over and back, using the accelerometer and the gyroscope to detect the movement. With the gesture, you can rule out incoming notifications, calls of silence, alarms and alerts of silence, and return to the face of the clock without using your other hand.
The doll movie joins the existing double touch gesture as another control option with one hand for Apple Watch users. The characteristic can be activated or deactivated in the configuration ➝ Gestures ➝ Wrist.
The new gesture is only available at Apple Watch Series 9, Apple Watch 10 and Apple Watch Ultra 2, the same models that support the double touch gesture.
Apple does not say exactly why the oldest models do not admit the function, despite having the same sensors, but uses a new automatic learning model, suggesting that only the newest chips found in recent Apple Watch models are powerful enough to handle it.
The Watchos 26 Beta is currently available through the Apple developer program, with a public beta at the end of this month, followed by a general launch in autumn.
