If you have been waiting for Apple to start its 2025 hardware releases, you will not have to wait for much more. On Thursday, Apple’s CEO, Tim Cook, published a mockery in X on the “newer member of the family” that debuted on February 19.
Although he cannot know because of the static image we have published here, Cook’s publication is actually an animation in which the Apple logo seems to have chrome.

David Price de Macworld points out that the image looks like an avalanche, which has a polished aluminum lid with an Apple logo. A new Airtag is not completely out of discussion; Last November, we discovered that Apple had been executing “manufacturing tests” in a new Airtag, so it could be the product referred to Cook. But it is unlikely that a $ 29 accessory obtains an advance of Apple’s CEO.
Or maybe image X can be interpreted as Apple’s logo in the back of an iPhone. It was thought that the iPhone was debuted this week, but Mark Gurman of Bloomberg said last Tuesday that “it should be announced next week.” It is also completely possible that Apple can launch a new iPhone SE and a new Airtag, although Cook’s reference to the “newest member” is in the singular (if it gets pedantic about it).
The cook phrasing suggests a redesign and a brand change for the iPhone Se, which have been strongly rumored. Apple’s new budget telephone is expected to present a new iPhone 14-style design with a USB-C port and support for Apple Intelligence. Apple could also change the name of the phone to the iPhone 16E to align it with current models.
Another product with a polished aluminum logo is MacBook Air. Gurman has reported that the M4 MacBook Air will launch “in a matter of weeks.” The new air would arrive 11 months after M3 Macbook Air. Apple is also expected to present the iPad of the 11th generation, but there have been few reports in the rumor factory. The current 10th Gen iPad was launched in October 2022, so its update must overcome.
Apple launches in 2025 so far have been software (and Apple TV+ programs and operating system updates). On Wednesday, the Apple TV Android application was available on Google Play Store.
