  • Wplace is a site that allows you to paint a pixel anywhere in the world every 30 seconds.
  • Although it is quite new, it is exploited in popularity.
  • You will find works of art worldwide, groups at war, alliances and more.

If you miss the Reddit R/Place Annual experiment, in part collaboration project, in part social experiment, there is good news: it has returned. At least A form This is back on a website called WPLECH. Like R/Place, Wplace allows you to color in pixels on a large canvas to create an image. Only this time, you are coloring on a world map.

The site debuted last month, but is exploding in popularity, and now there is graffiti worldwide. Much of the works of art focuses on Internet culture, but there is a surprising amount of genuine works of art. Naturally, different fandoms have given rise to grass wars, alliances have formed to protect certain areas and the images appear in the masks.

In addition: this new and improved Nextdoor could only be the social application we need at this time

If you are interested in joining fun or simply seeing what people are doing, this is what you should do.

Starting

This is how Wplace works. To join, go to https://wplace.live

You must log in with a Google or Twitch account to play. The site houses a world map where you can approach, approach and move. It has the ability to move the map anywhere in the world or click on a button to go directly to its location. Every 30 seconds, you can color in a pixel that everyone else can see. Wplace says that the whole map has more than 4 billion pixels.

If you want to make Wplet a group project, you can join a thematic alliance or create your own alliance where you plan your work with others.

Map the world a pixel at the same time

When I appeared in my specific neighborhood on the map, I had to move away enough to see any pixels art. The closest art work, a Pokémon character, was about 15 miles away. While I was moving, I noticed more works of art. They were mostly animated characters, but I found a fairly great representation of the logo of my local baseball team just in its stadium location.

While traveling to an important city near me, the map was filled with more characters, memes, equipment logos and a little non -printable language. It was fascinating to see the works of art sometimes quite elementary, sometimes very impressive. As you can imagine, the map constantly changes. If there is a coordinated effort, works of art may appear very quickly.

Wplace has some limits

Wplace has some rules. You are not allowed to paint on other works of art using random colors or patterns simply to spoil things, but you can paint other works of art to complement them or create a new drawing.

In addition, it cannot create paintings related to the hate group or adult content, reveal the personal information of any person, create with more than one account or use bots, or degrade the flags or portraits of the political parties of politicians (moving on a political seedbed like Washington, DC, although I am not sure how strict that last rule is found).

He does not have to spend money to join Wplace, but there are small microtransactions for more functions.
