Stephen Colbert showed support for his fellow night host Jimmy Kimmel after his suspension last week, and has shown so much support on Kimmel’s return to television.
The host returned to the air on Tuesday night, giving a 28 -minute monologue that quickly went viral on YouTube, in which he approached his suspension, his comments about the Charlie Kirk shooter and the issue of freedom of expression. Millions of people tuned, and Stephen Colbert was one of them.
“You are in a good mood, I am in a good mood, because last night our friend Jimmy Kimmel returned to television,” says Colbert on the clip above, at the beginning of his monologue. “Simply so proud of him. Very proud to know that man. Jimmy spoke wonderfully about freedom of expression and unity, made great jokes, showed his deep emotions, obtained great qualifications. He did so well that Disney has just announced that next summer they were releasing Guillermo and stitch. Live action! “
Colbert went on to talk about the dozens of millions of YouTube views that Kimmel’s return monologue received. “Congratulations Jimmy! That’s quite rare. That makes you only five billion opinions El Chombo’s song with the alien dancer who sings in Spanish“
