Abstract
Have you ever noticed that each of your fingers has a complex pattern of lines? These lines are exclusive to each person. When it touches different surfaces, leave impressions of those lines behind. The artists for a long time also left such impressions. Previous scientists used fingerprint photographs to learn more about artists. They discovered if the artists were men or women. They also discovered the artist’s age. Unfortunately, photos are sometimes of poor quality.
We wanted to develop a new method of analysis of FingerMark using a 3D-Micro CT exploration. This technology produced detailed 3D images of the digital footprints that remained in a sculpture. Then we analyze these digital footprints for more information about the artist. Our analysis identified the artist as an adult man. This technology will help to analyze the works of artists better in the future.
