About Michelle Maki
The International Business Academy is pleased to welcome Michelle Maki as its Member Services Coordinator. Michelle brings nearly two decades of association management experience to AIB, with a proven track record of building thriving member communities and delivering exceptional services. Previously, as Special Events Manager at the Asian Pacific American Chamber of Commerce and CADIA, Inc., he managed comprehensive membership programs and events. In a role earlier in his career at the Motor and Equipment Manufacturers Association (MEMA), he demonstrated his ability to drive growth, helping to expand the organization by nearly doubling membership and revenue during his tenure. Michelle’s philosophy focuses on making members’ lives easier through seamless support and meaningful programming.
Michelle’s experience spans the global automotive industry, where she coordinated international initiatives including the MEMA/JAMA conference in the United States and Yokohama, Japan. He also brings higher education experience and technical knowledge with Lansing Community College membership databases and event logistics. A Michigan State University alumna (BA, Marketing, Eli Broad College of Business), Michelle maintains deep ties to her alma mater through volunteer work and is a certified tourism ambassador. He hopes to travel internationally to attend AIB conferences and develop new solutions to support the association’s global community of members.
