If you have discovered that your iPhone cannot avoid calling the president of the United States a racist, you may be pleased to know that Apple is working to prevent that from happening.
The problem arose when several iPhone owners noticed that a pronunciation processing problem caused the word “Trump” to transpose with the word ‘racist’ when using the dictated function in the messages.
Curiously, Macrumores Reports that the problem also seems to happen in reverse: “racist” sometimes seemed to be heard as “Trump”.
Talking the racist word with dictation does not always show “Trump” first, although it appeared more frequently than other words in our tests. We also saw that “Rhett” and “Rouch” appear before the iphone correct the racist.
The videos that show the error in action, understandably, have spread as a forest fire on social networks, but an Apple spokesman told the New York Times that the problem was due to a superposition in the phonetics used when speaking the two words. It is unknown how long the problem has existed, but Apple has said that it is currently working on a solution.
Nor has it been confirmed how long we can expect to take to solve, or if a software update will be needed. However, it is another black eye for Apple after recent problems that surround its Intelligence characteristics of Apple. These characteristics have made a hash to summarize notifications in disturbing forms of the last time, which makes Apple make changes there too.
