Leiurus fezzanensis sp. north. From the province of Fezzan, Libya (Scorpions: Buthidae)

ABSTRACT

Leiurus fezzanensis sp. north. It is described in the province of Fezzan, Libya. Detailed illustrations and a map that shows the distributions of all Leiurus Species are given in Africa. Leiurus fezzanensis It differs from the granulations of shell, tricobotrial pattern on the fixed finger, granulation of the fifth segment of metasoma and the counting of pectinal teeth. From L. Libycus Birula, 1908 was recently excluded from Libya’s Scorpion fauna,L. Fezzanensis Is currently the only Leiurus known species of the country.
