Tineidae) in Japan, with description of a new species

Abstract

In this study we describe Ectropoceros sagittalis sp. nov. from Japan. This, to our knowledge, is the first record of the genus in the Palearctic region. Photographs of adult female specimens, pupae and their genitalia are presented, and their biology is described. We also provide a global checklist for the genre. ectropocera.
