I am happy to share the news about the launch of Adobe Photography today (May 2024). There are updates in the Lightroom ecosystem, which include Lightroom, Lightroom Classic, Lightroom in Mobile and Lightroom on the web.
Today, we are presenting an innovative characteristic in the generative elimination of Lightroom, driven by Firefly. This innovative tool allows you to eliminate the distractions of your photos effortlessly with a single brush stroke, all without the need to change to Photoshop.
We have also improved lens blur (which was in early access), which makes it easier than ever controlling field depth in your photos with professional results.
Easily eliminate distractions with generative elimination (early access)
Available in Lightroom, Lightroom Classic, Lightroom for mobile devices (iOS & Android), Lightroom for Web and Adobe Camera Raw
With generative elimination, driven by Firefly, you can easily eliminate unwanted objects and distractions, even in complex funds, in just a few simple steps.
Distractions can ruin a great photo. Generative ReATEmber allows you to quickly eliminate them with realistic and high quality results.
Generation ReATEmber uses Firefly technology to intelligently fill the photo behind the eliminated elements. The results in complex funds are particularly impressive, such as matching a detailed pattern of tapestry paper or the fabric in a picture shirt. Lightroom will even give some variations to choose from, so you will have a complete creative control to choose the one you like best.
*Note that the “cure” tool is now called “eliminate.” You will find the generative elimination within the withdrawal tool, accessible through an alternation in Lightroom Mobile or a verification box in Lightroom for Web, Lightroom Classic and Lightroom.
Generation ReATEmber is fed by the Firefly Image 1 model and is available today as an early access function for Lightroom Plan Subscribers throughout the Lightroom ecosystem via mobile, desktop, iPad, web and classic.
Get a back edge in favor of quality with lens blur

Our improved lens blur uses the AI power to map the foreground and the bottom of its image to apply a pro-rancid blur effect. It unsubsequently occupied funds so that their portraits establish, add a dramatic blur to the photos of nature so that the vegetation stands out or obtains a dream and blurred background of a horizon of the bright city at night.
With the interactive and flexible controls of the lens blur, you can play with the amount of blur, change the shape of the light points or “bokeh”, and customize the area you want to blur using the approach range tool.
This new version of lens blur includes a better detection of subjects, the ability to create personalized presets and batch editing capabilities. Keep in mind that the last two features will soon reach the Android devices.
Obtain the perfect blur effect on clicking with new adaptive lens prejustments

Today, we also present a set of new adaptive prejustments for lens blur that use AI technology to apply a blur effect that is tailored to your photo. Prejustes are excellent to quickly find the perfect blur aspect without having to dig in tight editions.
You can choose between seven adaptive background prejustments that change the shape and style of the blur in the background: subtle, strong, circle, bubble, geometric, ring or swirl.
After choosing a prejustment, you can adjust the blur resistance with the sliding control of the quantity or customize the more effect when using the controls of the lens blur tool.
What else is new in the last launch of Lightroom?
We have also made several updates in the Lightroom ecosystem that provide more creative control and flexibility when working on their photos and videos.

Easily move the cloud files to your local unit
Available in Lightroom
At the Adobe Max conference last year, we present the local storage for Lightroom, the option of working with their photos and videos in Lightroom without having to import or synchronize them to the cloud.
With this version, it is now easier to move or file your photos of the Lightroom cloud and store them in the internal unit of your computer, an external unit or a local server. This is great when you want to release space in the cloud, or for file management, such as archiving past projects to a local unit.
You can select several files from an album or a complete album to move to your local unit. Lightroom will ask which folder structure would like to use, so that you can preserve the structure of the album locally as it moves it from the cloud. This is especially useful if it has a large volume of photos and is working with numerous files at the same time.
Edit videos with the tone curve
Available in Lightroom
You can now edit videos in Lightroom using Tone Curve. This graphic -based tool allows you to adjust the brightness and contrast of a video simply dragging the curve control points up or down. For example, if a point moves in the tone curve, it becomes a lighter tone; If it moves down, it becomes darker.
Create and reproduce slide presentations in Lightroom
Available in Lightroom
Lightroom now has a slide presentation function so you can show selected photos of your library in a slide presentation format, an excellent way to share editions with customers, family or friends.
Performance, reliability and workflow improvements to Lightroom Classic
We have also made the following improvements in Lightroom Classic, so that it works without problems and allows you to work more efficiently:
- Improved cloud syncion: Lightroom cloud images will now coincide more reliable with what you see in your classic catalog and vice versa
- Smooth image navigation in development: We have improved the experience of response and development in development along with a better storage in cache
- Optimized Previous Management: We have rear me up the way we generate and store previous views, resulting in a much softer experience
- Filter by exported images: You can now filter the archives for your export status and create an intelligent collection that shows what has been exported
- Search support for new metadata: We have introduced new capabilities to search and create smart collections through alternative text, extended descriptions and images edited with elimination or point color

Our commitment to ethics and the principles of AI

Today, CAI has become a global coalition of more than 3,000 members in technology, policies, media companies, creative professionals, researchers and more, everything working together to add transparency to digital content.
