Tim Cook says Apple is “making good progress” on next-gen Siri

During Apple’s recent investor call, Tim Cook provided a small update on the next generation of Siri.

Cook said on the call that Apple is “making good progress” toward next year’s launch. “We’re also excited about a more personalized Siri. We’re making good progress and, as we’ve shared, we hope to launch it next year,” Cook said, as reported by 9to5Mac.

It’s worth noting that Cook also said something similar about making good progress during last quarter’s earnings conference call; However, this time he mentioned a launch goal for next year.

The edge reported that Apple releases next-gen Siri alongside iOS 26.4; However, reports of Bloomberg suggest the opposite.

The next-generation Siri is supposed to offer a personalized Apple Intelligence experience and leverage AI to improve the overall assistant experience. This means you can provide personalized assistance through features like a more context-aware Siri that remembers past interactions and can take action across all your apps.

Apple first showed off its AI-enhanced Siri at WWDC 2024, but has since struggled to bring the product to market. The iPhone maker officially delayed Siri in March 2025 and faces lawsuits in Canada and the United States, accusing it of misleading consumers about Siri’s capabilities.
