Google announced Tuesday that it will launch new agent capabilities in AI Mode, its feature that allows users to ask complex questions and follow-ups to delve deeper into a topic directly within Search.
Users can now get help booking tickets for beauty and wellness events and appointments in AI mode.
For example, you could say, “Find me two cheap tickets to the next Shaboozey concert. I prefer standing tickets.” AI Mode will then search multiple websites to find real-time ticket options that meet your specific requests. It will then present you with a curated list of ticket prices to choose from. AI Mode links you directly to the booking page so you can finalize your purchase.
The new agent capabilities are available to all users who have opted into Google’s experimental arm, Search Labs, in the US. The company notes that Google AI Pro and Ultra subscribers have access to high limits.
Google first introduced agent capabilities in AI mode in August, when it began allowing people to use the feature to find restaurant reservations.

With this capability, you can request dining reservations based on multiple preferences, such as group size, date, time, location, and preferred cuisine. For example, you could ask, “Find me a dinner reservation for three people this Friday after 6 pm in Logan Square. If you’d like ramen or bibimbap.”
AI Mode will then search different booking platforms to find the real-time availability of restaurants that match the query. It then displays a selected list of options to choose from.
“Our priority on Google Search is to connect you with high-quality information you can trust,” Google explained on its Search Labs page. “This new mode is rooted in our core quality and safety systems, but it’s still an early experiment and can make mistakes.”
Google first launched AI Mode in March to take on popular services like OpenAI’s Perplexity AI and ChatGPT Search. Since then, the tech giant has brought AI mode to more than 180 countries and has been building it with new features. For example, AI Mode recently gained access to a Canvas feature that helps you create lesson plans and organize information across multiple sessions in a side panel. It also now lets you use Google Lens to ask what’s on your desktop screen.
