Although vegetable oil is all the rage this year, we must remember that food scaremongering is designed to build on previous hysteria, not replace it. The Endocrine Disruptors/PM2.5/5G conspiratorial community, dominated by the left for decades, finally got one of their own into a position that was important, rather than the Guardian journalists or the Natural Resources Defense Council lawyer, and that means a whole new tranche of Evil Science to be deplored.
If worrying that food dyes caused your autism and telling strangers that beef tallow would have prevented it isn’t enough to keep you in militant mode this Thanksgiving, here’s a list of other foods that the International Agency for Cancer Risk (IARC) has linked to cancer.
You will be pleased to know that all of these are found in organic foods.

I made this graph for Halloween Science 2.0 but for progressive food nannies, and now their equally unhinged MAHA cousins, the modern world is terrifying all year round. Storyblocks base illustration, but the sarcasm is all mine.
How is that possible? To be a successful epidemiologist at France’s IARC or Secretary Kennedy’s National Institute of Environmental Health Sciences, you don’t need evidence of pesky confounding factors like a “plausible biological explanation”—those are for idiots, Biden’s EPA assured us. All you need is a food survey or a dead rat. Kill enough rats and get enough survey results so that the people who got cancer also drank coffee and you can declare statistical significance. That’s all you need, their magazines accept illusions of power.
Celery – caffeic acid, carcinogenic to rodents
Broccoli – allyl isothiocyanate, carcinogenic to rodents
Potatoes – not only solanine, arsenic and chaconine, but also caffeic acid and ethyl alcohol, carcinogens for rodents and humans.
Rolls with butter – Acetaldehyde, benzene, ethyl carbonate and more, all carcinogens to rodents.
Turkey – Heterocyclic amines, carcinogenic and mutagenic in rodents. You can try to escape turkey by eating Prime Rib, but it has heterocyclic amines, as well as benzene and psoralens.
Stuffed – many, including some of those mentioned above plus acrylamide, dihydrazines and more.
cranberry sauce – furan derivatives: mutagens
pumpkin pie – many fewer toxic chemicals than apple pie, but still has benzo(a)pyrene, coumarin, methyl eugenol and safrole
Coffee – a lot of the above, plus hydrogen peroxide, a mutagen and carcinogen for rodents and a great way to treat cuts. Jasmine tea It won’t save you from doom, it has benzo(a)pyrene and quercetin glycosides, which are both mutagenic and rodent carcinogens.
What needs to be done? Bit. Epidemiologists declared that eating a hot dog is as dangerous to your health as eating plutonium while smoking cigarettes, so give them a Snickers the next time they talk about how “emerging evidence” of virtual pollution “suggests,” “correlated,” or “links to” worse grades for kids. It simply means that there is no science involved.
It’s good for environmentalists raising money, but it won’t help them at all.
